I love Tribal because we get to bitch about the bitches.
No, seriously, it is fun.
Tribal is also a good place to talk cock and laugh our hearts out. Remember the Yesus Keristus joke? And the Hello Good Morning?
And come to think of it, Tribal Council is also a good source of income without working our asses off. We gain income just by laughing till we drop, while adults slog in the rat race just to make ends meet. We just sit down and talk cock and get the cash. How do we do it? Blackjack. Kit Leong would definitely agree with me on this. Well, you've also got to realise that you may lose some. But hey, it's fun?
Now, we all share the one common goal in joining the MPYO - to make music. Hang with me on this. It may seem so, but what makes music alone enjoyable when you aren't enjoying fun and socializing about? Even if you were some sort of die-hard Scheherazade-for-life fan, you would eventually get tired of it. It's just the way how the human body works. What I am trying to say here is precisely like what Addie had mentioned in her post. Tribal is such a vital congregation to break the monotony of our daily metronomic routines, especially in music camps. And it is exactly what we look forward for, even though all of us simply love music. Think of it as an ice-cream lover. Yes, he loves the rich, creamy Häagen Dazs, but what he actually is looking forward for is the juicy, red cherry topped on top of his scoop of ice cream. He may be an ice cream lover, but yet the cherry is simply irresistible. In this case, then the cherry is the Tribal and the Scheherezade is the Häagen Dazs.
This pretty well sums up why Tribal is such a meaningful (should I say) congress to me. Tribal is what music camps are all about. It is the core and heart for the source of FUN. We didn't go to Tronoh and INTEKMA just merely to sit at our desks and play like robots. The MPYO 9am-9pm rehearsals are some serious shit, for how about the time from 9.01pm to 8.59am and the breaks in between? Don't tell me you're going to stick around in your room practicing your Violin, blowing your Horn or playing your organ. Now, even if everyone joined MPYO merely for the music experience, it doesn't matter. Because that is their definition for FUN. But in Tribal, we all share a different perspective towards FUN. It's about socializing and meeting new friends (and chicks, maybe).
